Curly Apples

Logan loves grabbing an apple or two off of Grandma Webb's tree whenever he visits, so she gave us a whole bag. Usually Logan eats apples from the bottom up, core, seeds, and all. But since he discovered the cool apple curler machine, he won't go back to eating them normal - for now.

Logan has a knack for finding yummy things in the pantry and getting me to give them to him. We ended up going on the front steps to eat the otter pops after he made sure I got the scissors out of the drawer. Then he got so happy he ran really fast to the front door - he knows thats where we eat otter pops together. It is actually really fun that he always wants me to eat one with him he keeps pointing to his and mine. Then as soon as he is done he hurries to the door with all the trash and whines so I'll open it and he can run to the trash can. He sure helps me keep things clean.

Kids and Kids

Every time we go to Alpine we stop to play at Rachel's farm. She has baby goats, chickens, ducks, baby chicks, and sometimes horses or cows in the pasture right next door. We love this cute little brown spotted goat that Joel named Escobel. We call her Bell, and she will follow you around, while the all black goats just run away from you. There were six baby goats, and Rachel is selling all but Bell.

Alan is usually nice to Logan, but I caught him pulling Logan's hair and I had to pry away his fingers. Boys will be boys.

And Logan was pretty mad.
So Alan was put in the cage. Just kidding he liked to go in there and shut the door.

Just Peachy

Logan loves canned peaches, but the canning process was by no means perfect.

One jar's bottom broke off, so I found peaches floating in the big pot and had to fish them out.

Logan got a little bored playing with Daddy and discovered he could poke holes in the peaches, or even better - rip them apart. "Uh-oh."

Does anyone know how to get rid of the tons of fruit flies in my kitchen? They are still there even after my peaches have been gone for over a day. I hate those annoying flies, but they remind me of my high school science class with Mr. Shuler where we predicted the traits of the drosophila melanogastor. Did anyone else do that lab?
